Visa Information

You can check the UK Government's Check Visa website to see if you need a visa to attend SpaceTimeAI. We are able to issue standard letters of invitation (PDF, via e-mail) once you have registered for the conference and all registration fees have been received by us. A Letter of Invitation is an official document that confirms payment of registration fees and extends an official invitation to the paid registrant to attend and participate in the upcoming conference. Note that a letter of invitation does not guarantee that a visa will be issued - this is outside our control. You are advised to contact your local British Embassy or British Consulate for any visa-related enquiries, and to make sure you leave sufficient time for visa requests to be processed.

If you require an invitation letter, please contact the organisers at .

Travel Grants

We are pleased to announce that we have a number of grants for travel to SpaceTimeAI and GISRUK, kindly supported by the Royal Geographical Society's Quantitative Methods and GIS Research Groups and the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis. Grants will be awarded by the scientific committee to eligible participants based on the scientific merits of their submission.

Two types of grants are available:

Inclusive travel grants

We are keen to encourage people from underrepresented groups to attend the conference, including female, black and minority ethnic, LGBT+ or disabled participants. Two grants of £250 each are available for eligible participants, divided between SpaceTimeAI and GISRUK.

ECR travel grants

Eight grants of £100 each are available to fund travel to the conferences for early career researchers, divided between SpaceTimeAI and GISRUK.

To apply or check your eligibility for either of these grants please contact the organisers at
